Having began his career in 1988, Tony Underwood is currently VP, Client Advisory Services at Synoptek. He has been a technologist, entrepreneur, and businessman for almost 3 decades now. Tony has also been the CIO, and COO at several companies, and has held multiple board level positions; this enables him to have unique insight into the world of technology and cloud solutions.
With key strengths around technology management and mergers and acquisitions, Tony is an all-rounder. He has been successful at helping a small start-up company navigate through the initial merger and acquisition process, culminating with a profitable business which serves over 2000 of the nation’s largest financing institutions and houses over $500 billion in portfolio assets.
Prior to joining Synoptek, Tony worked as EVP, Business Development and CMO at Pay Per Cloud, a full-service managed hosting cloud provider. As EVP, Tony was responsible for ensuring high availability cloud hosting infrastructure, and for extending cloud-enabled software applications to companies that need enterprise-level infrastructure and stability without enterprise-level costs.
In the late 2000s, Tony was Director at HugeMagnet, responsible for developing the brand strategy, reseller channels, as well as sales and business development infrastructure. He also held the position of Director at Consoldex Inc., and was an Advisory Board Member at Vaultscape Inc.
At FDI Collateral Management Inc., where he was employed for over 9 years as EVP, Client Services, Tony worked through multiple aspects of the entire automotive life cycle: from manufacturing and financing, to repossession and end of term processing. Prior to being the EVP, Tony served several other roles including that of founder and CIO, and was greatly responsible in defining and setting the direction for next generation software needs.
Tony has an Information Technology degree from the University of Phoenix.
