For immediate release: Synoptek, a rapidly growing business process and systems consulting and IT outsourcing firm, acquired The Network Group, Inc. of Boise, ID. Synoptek announced that the deal was signed on May 5, 2008 and the operations of the two companies will be immediately integrated.
The merger expands Synoptek's service delivery capacity and customer base. The Network Group provides many of the same types of services and will complements Synoptek's current application development and IT outsourcing capabilities. "Culturally it is a great fit. We feel we have found a terrific company that employs a talented team and will provide the foundation to support our growth," claims Tim Britt, Synoptek CEO.
"Technology innovation, limited availability of skilled resources and increased dependence on IT are driving consolidation of IT service providers," states Tim Britt, Synoptek CEO. Synoptek primarily serves customers in Southern California and was recognized as the 9th fastest growing privately held company in Orange County last year.
Synoptek was recognized as Orange County's 9th fastest growing, privately-held company in 2007 by The Orange County Business Journal. "Our rapid growth illustrates that there is a significant need for high-quality and costeffective business process and systems consulting and IT Outsourcing services," states Britt. "Synoptek focuses on getting things done and delivering results. "This enables us to beat out our primary competitors," claims Britt. "By acquiring companies, we are able to leverage our operational excellence, leverage our IT infrastructure and diversify our depth of expertise to serve customers better. We will continue to expand both organically and through acquisition," states Britt.
Terms of the merger were not disclosed. The deal officially closed May 5th. Tim Britt will continue to serve as the CEO of Synoptek. Denise Dunlap- Taylor, the current president of The Network Group, will become the General Manager of the Synoptek Idaho operations.
