Miguel Sanchez joined Synoptek in the year 2005, and is currently Senior Vice President, Professional Services, which serves clients in the financial services, healthcare, entertainment, and consumer product industries. In his role, Miguel is responsible for strategy development, business growth, and client relationship management for Synoptek’s consulting practice.
Miguel has over 23 years of experience in developing IT strategy, leading business solutions by leveraging best practice process methodologies, and managing large-scale IT solutions, and systems implementation. His contribution specifically involves working with executive leadership to understand mission and vision, conduct IT assessments, and develop strategies for building business and technology solutions. He has played the role of a vCIO at several organizations, helping them formulate strategic IT goals, planning IT budget, and analyzing and reworking business processes and technology landscapes. Miguel works with businesses to help them realize their goals by strategically planning and delivering innovative and value-added solutions, with emphasis on the greatest return on investment for their strategic endeavors.
Miguel began his career in the field of consulting and program management at Accenture (then Andersen Consulting) in 1996. At Accenture, Miguel effectively led multiple programs from complex multi-year systems implementations, to smaller multi-month process and organizational changes. This required leading teams with diverse backgrounds and skill sets from Organizational Development to Technology to Process Design. In 2003, Miguel joined Washington Mutual (now JP Morgan Chase), and was tasked in leading Client Services Escalation Management in the Technology Operations organization. His role involved streamlining business processes, standardizing technologies, planning for the future, and reducing overall IT spend.
In the course of his career, Miguel has developed a keen understanding of Program Management best practices, Technology Operations processes, Organizational Support Structures, and how to properly apply them to projects and clients of varying size and complexity.
Miguel graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Management Information Systems from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo.
