Synoptek acquires Denver based Managed IT Services division of Critigen in a strategic move for both companies that will strengthen their overall IT services business and meet the growing demand for IT management services and cloud solutions in the global market.
IRVINE, CA — May 5th, 2014 — Irvine-based Synoptek, a rapidly expanding IT managed services and cloud solutions firm, has acquired the Managed IT services division of Critigen, an award-winning IT services provider based in Denver, Colorado. This merger expands the depth and breadth of services for both organizations and enhances Synoptek’s customer base and geographic footprint. The combined organization will provide innovative, next-generation information technology managed services to organizations around the world.
The acquisition of the Critigen Managed Services division will strengthen Synoptek’s services portfolio and expand Synoptek into the Rocky Mountain region. The combined organizations will offer both 24×7 on premise IT management and cloud computing as a growing number of businesses seek comprehensive and reliable IT management for their enterprise. By leveraging Synoptek and Critigen’s combined organization, clients will improve planning, execution and management of their IT capabilities.
As businesses transition to consuming IT as a service and are increasingly conservative when making large IT capital investments, the combination of Synoptek and Critigen offers a hybrid solution that allows customers to plan, build and operate critical systems and consume many cloud based IT services on a subscription basis. Synoptek provides the IT planning, management and operation services for both on-premise customer owned systems and cloud based solutions that reside in Synoptek’s cloud capacity. This strategic move taps pre-existing cultures in each organization that focuses on delivering service, results and value to customers. The combined organization aims to enable companies to achieve higher performance by leveraging great systems that work.
Critigen’s IT services division will bring a broad portfolio of IT managed services including managed Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS)/ private cloud solutions, virtual data center management, remote infrastructure monitoring & management, 24×7 Service Desk, as well as expert support for servers, workstations, desktops and networks. “I am confident that the combined Synoptek-Critigen team will now be able to provide even greater world-class managed IT services to companies within our markets,” Critigen CEO, Jim Eberle, commented. “Our combined mission and market differentiation will continue to provide exceptional service to our customers while achieving the absolute highest levels of client satisfaction,” said Mike Bank, Vice President of Critigen Managed Services.
Tim Britt, Synoptek CEO, expressed his enthusiasm. “The thing I am really excited about is that the Critigen IT services team is culturally aligned with us. They believe in the mission to provide great service to valued customers. The more we learn about this team, the more enthusiastic we become. This acquisition will provide a stronger platform by which to meet the growing demand for cloud-based IT capacity and IT as a Service (ITaaS) solutions,” said Britt. “As well, it will assist in the opportunity to maintain our portfolio for cutting-edge solutions as companies change their IT consumption models. Ultimately, companies want to focus on their business, and they want great systems that work. That is what we deliver.”
