Jamie Mearns

Chief Financial Officer

Jamie Mearns is currently CFO at Synoptek with a demonstrated history of hands-on leadership working in the consumer goods, manufacturing industries, distribution, and financial services industries. Over the course of 27 years of his professional career, Jamie has worked for private equity, family-owned, and Fortune 500 companies and possesses skills across financial audits, strategic planning, mergers and acquisitions, compensation, risk management, and working capital management.

As a strong finance professional, Jamie has helped prepare and present financial results to Board of Directors and Senior Management as well as carry out budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow modeling. His analytical skills enable him understand financial results with accuracy and precision and support significant business decisions.

Prior to joining Synoptek, Jamie was CFO at Mechanix Wear for 3 years. At Mechanix, Jamie was instrumental in the sale of family-owned business to a private equity firm; in fact, with Jamie’s involvement, the entire process of data collection, bid evaluation, due diligence, and documentation was completed in under ten months. He helped bring the accounting function in-house while helping initiate conversion from cash to accrual accounting and reducing working capital that resulted in incremental enterprise value.

Before Mechanix, Jamie served as VP, Finance at Pelican Products and spent over 11 years spearheading numerous acquisitions, debt refinancing, carrying out budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis, and owning risk management and international tax.

Jamie has also served as CFO at Outsource Partners International and Senior VP – Corporate Development at Transtar Metals. He was also Manager – Planning and Analysis at SunAmerica, Inc., Senior Manager – Finance at Walt Disney Company, and Manager in Training at PwC.

Jamie has an MBA degree from University of California, Los Angeles and a Bachelor of Arts degree from UC, Santa Barbara.
